Well Friday I go out as planned I buellin the hills and vallies and twisties of Hunterdon and warren counties as planned. I am ridin with a guy on a 1150 bmw a seriuosly nice machine as well I gotta say it was I believe a GP 1150 like a dual sport one anyway. We run down through hunterdon and grab rte 513 into a town called Frenchtown a real nice little river town on the delaware between nj and pa. So we park the machines my xb12 ss and his 1150 in a single spot and grab some coffee in the sun. I see a guy pull up on an fzr 6 yamaha and he gets off his bike and walks up to the xb he is lookin and lookin so I stand up and say its ok you pull your bike into the spot as well if you want, He says na I was just lookin at your machine its the coolest lookin bike I ever seen. What is it he says THE smile starts from ear to ear.....Happiness is |

That's awesome. I went out last weekend to cruise the escalante staircase in southern UT and at breakfast I parked outside this little cafe. Two guys walk over to my bike and start looking around at it and talking. I couldn't hear them so I walked back toward the bike and asked them if they rode. They say something to me but turns out they were from some european country. I didn't even know what they were saying. They gave me the thumbs up though. |

Brumbear- I grew up in central NJ and know right were frenchtown is, great place to ride around and some cool sites to see. I think 513 goes into pa and all the way down into new hope. That is an awesome little town to hang out in on any day of the weekend, a town of good Bars and places to eat and a bad ass ride there and back. but back to what you were saying yes that is a great joy when people are checking out your ride, it really makes you feel good. that is when the Buell grin comes over you. |

I love the confusion that I see in the faces of the Harley hard-liners when they hear me coming, my Jardine announces my presence in advance, and turn to look.... and see a fully faired sport bike in stead of the hog they expect. I LOVE IT! However when I'm stopped at a gas station, or wherever, it never fails, I get "Is that the new Ducati?" (Message edited by diablobrian on May 06, 2007) |

Since my fiance' got her scg my ULY has become the ugly duckling. When she rode her bright yellow BMW F650GS folks would always ask about my ULY, now they come and talk about the red SCG and ignore the ULY. Maybe if I got some of those bright orange wheels the ugly one may be noticed again. |

Guy pulls up next to me last night on an R6 and asks if I would sell him my bike and before I could answer him he says "oh, and what kind of bike is that"? |

I get a lot of questions and looks too. The bike has also been mistaken for a Duc more than once. I love to park the bike at restaurants or my fav Starbucks where I can see it and watch people looking it over out in the parking lot. People will actually stop when driving by and get out to look at it. I don't blame them because I fell in love with Buells the very first time I saw/heard one too. Bought one shortly after my very first sighting. |

Happiness is a full tank, a dirty road and ear to ear grin under the helmet. Took the bike to a rally/ show this weekend. They were all like you should have washed that bike, its filthy.... I told them that I actually did wash the chunks off by running through the puddles on the way in. |

Not bashing cus my buells does get a lot of looks, but my Z1000 w/ its stock gold exhaust brought out all the squids. Everyone was always like what is that? Then they would ask if it was a real gold plated exhaust. That was more annoying attention. With the buell people just have no clue whatsoever. |

My Uly frequently gets mistaken for a BMW or a Duc. Soon ill have a new airbox cover without the Buell on it so they will have absolutely no clue wtf it is now. |

Yea I like the Starbucks parking lot, my friend works their and the parking lot is the most interesting parking lot in the world because it refreshes so fast. anyways I go visit him on his break and we hangout outside and watch the mass population rush through their daily life. Soon enought someone comes up to us and starts asking about the bike, which always makes my day. |

My Uly frequently gets mistaken for a BMW or a Duc. I've had more than a few people mistake my Uly for a GS. |
