I'm looking to upgrade my GPS soon, Buell version of the Garmin Quest, just seeing if there is interest in my old unit. Installed on my Uly beginning of March when i bought the bike. I still got the box, manuals, CDs and whatever crap it has. The GPS works great, but I'm looking to get a better model with Bluetooth and XM and stuff.

Is that the Quest or Quest II model?

If it has mapping for all of the U.S. on it it would be the Quest II.

If it only stores 115mb of mapping (a few states or so) it would the the Quest.

Quest 1, I don't think there is a Buell version of the 2.

What are you looking to get out of it?

Do you have to buy additional chips or can you download wider area maps from the web? How much are you looking for?
Thanks

If it has Mapsource V7 or V8 (which is probably the "CD's" referred to above) you can download detail maps for any area you want (you can usually fit in more then an entire state).

And the built in base map has anything that is a state route or bigger, so for long trips you can download detail maps for starts, stops, and finish, and let the base map handle the "fly through" country.

One thing I did note when I upgraded to V8 from V7... V8 has a LOT more detail, so the amount of space I can cover with detailed maps in the Quest 1 has shrunk quite a bit.

Still not a huge deal though, I can get the whole state of Ohio and a good chunk of Indiana and Kentucky loaded with room to spare.

Wow more interest than i expected. I was thinking about $400 for it, as it is $700 new.

It comes with everything you need, but the internal memory cannot be upgraded so you can only uploaded a limited amount of maps to it. Still not a big deal as it can about 2 or 3 full states with some room spare.

Prices on the Quest v1 are down to around $250-$300, brand new.

I'll give you $150 for it, if it is in good condition. PM me if you're interested.
