How about you guys- what road did you come into appreciate the qualities of a V- twin? I have ridden and raced everything and I keep coming back to home- a throaty, torquey stout V-hoopety twin!!   | ||

The first bike after school was a Yam XS 650. The next was a triple (still Yam). Then I went to the droopy twin variety (BMW R-bikes) In 95, I came to the perfect twin configuration.. the Buell S2. That's uh it! (I thought). I had a fling with a 4cyl too (BMW K). So after some meanderings and checking different configurations, I arrived home at the 45 degree Buell. I still have an R bike though. I like it for it's long distance capabilities. So did I make sense? no. But then again a passion for motorcycles is not supposed to. I was a virgin. Through the years I had gone through a slew of GSXR's, R1's, and a KTM Duke II (still own it-insane fun.) A buddy had a 9s and let me go for a ride. I went three miles. Two weeks later I had a 12s. I haven't looked back since.  Sweet Tuono. How do you like it? | ||

Tuono is great! Super performance and handling. Had it Dyno'd last week at 125 rw hp (with 800 miles on it). Big(ger) and fun to ride. I am happy to have both, because they are VERY different in really good ways. | ||

I've never owned anything but V-Twins. My wife & I started riding about 4 years ago. First bike was a Harley Sportster, next was my Softail chopper, then her Dyna, then my 9R. I love my chopper for when I want to do some posing, and I love my 9R for when I feel like racing. I think with the work done on my chopper it could eat up the Buell straight line, but at 10' long it's like turning a schoolbus. We still have all 4 bikes, and they all get ridden at some point during the year. With the resale prices being what they are and all 4 paid off, why get rid of 'em?  | ||

old iron. harley shovels, pans and flatty's were scattered around the garage from the time i was a little kid. lots of bikes have come and gone, but the old twin just seems to have "it" factor over the others. the 49 flatty bobber is almost as much fun as my cityX. not quite... but close.  |
