Take 68 South to Wilmington. You'll find the twisties when you take 22 North all the way to the Ohio River (Steubenville). Wooo Hoooo! |

Anywhere along the little miami... up past Lebanon. Take a loop around Ceasers Creek, and go to the cafe along the little Miami for lunch. Ill post routes later... Some nice rides out towards Paint Creek as well. |

Aim here: http://www.little-river-cafe.com/ Nice simple little humble place, good food, not that expensive, lots of motorcycles. And ride out all around there... towards Ceasers Creek, towards Fort Ancient, all the way towards Hocking Hills if you want. It'll take a little time with some maps (and a GPS helps) to avoid the long straight lines, but it's possible to put together some outstanding "relaxed sporting" rides in the area. Rabbit Hash Ky would probably be fun once on a sunny saturday. http://www.rabbithashusa.com/ It would be a bit of a haul from Dayton, but if you thread your way up west of I-75 you could probably stitch together a really nice ride to get there. Go there for the spectacle of the bikes and riders (both sport and cruiser), then enjoy some outstanding twisties all around there. Do you have a Garmin GPS? I can put together some routes for you on Mapsource and you can do the turn by turn. The GPS is incredibly helpful for good rides if you pre-plot your route along all the squiggly lines. Otherwise I head down what looks like a nice set of twisties just to find they turn straight after half a mile. |
