http://www.tmz.com/2007/04/19/alec-baldwins-threat ening-message-to-daughter/ Ive heard other people in the media say this guy was hot headed but now I truly believe them. In his defense, it must be hard to have a relationship with his daughter when he is in france or whatever country he moved to after the W got elected |

not that i like him in at all, but like my buddy said when he devorced his first wife, he wasn''t only devorcing her but everyone in her office that she worked with telling her what to do to get over on him. if you read on you see where she and the lawyer leaked that stuff out. women can be more cold hearted than men. i just hope my wife doesn't see this or i'm in big trouble. |

No matter what his frustration level or how much crap Kim has fed her daughter regarding Alec, he shouldn't speak to his 11/12 year old daughter like that! Inexcusable. |

He's a fat body, but I'd bet my bike he gets more tail than stable owner. No, he doesn't have the right to talk to a child like that. (Message edited by BuellinaChinashop on April 20, 2007) |

I'm not gonna' pass any judgment here because who knows what kind of day he'd been having. He mentioned making an ass of himself to get to a phone, so sounds like he was probably already stressed. We all say stupid crap when we're having a bad day. That and the fact that Kim Basinger is already documented to be a nutcase. Can't help but wonder what's been going on there. I still think he's cool. ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on April 20, 2007) |

Could be worse. At least he didn't call her a "Nappy headed ho." That would've been BAD. |

It would have been a non-issue. He's one of the "anointed". Now if he would have said George Lucas sucks he would be in real trouble. That guy would put a hit out on you. Wake up the next day with a Bantha head on your pillow and Greedo lookin' for you! |

Alec Baldwin? Didn't the Canadians bomb him and his brothers in "South Park the movie"?

Rainman, it only happened that one time. Honest. I was really drunk at the time. I thought it was Crystal Gayle.

i never said it was alright to talk to your kid like that. i was referring to the fact that women can make you do pretty stupid stuff at times. in the past, i have gotten real close to some of those same words to my kids. i won't say i'm the best father in the world, but my kids are getting pretty level headed as their getting older. and at least i never abused the kids outside of an occasional spanking so if getting irate and cussing at them is what caused them to turn out the way they did, then who am i to say anything more. |

"i was referring to the fact that women can make you do pretty stupid stuff at times. " If we can really step back and think about it, might we not see that no one can "make" us do anything like that? Is it not almost always the case that it is really truly our own choice to became irrational and to thus let our emotions govern our behavior? I've been there, done that. Each and every time, it was my choice to do so. Trying to blame one's own poor behavior on others is about the lamest thing there is. That is the rationale most often proferred by psychopaths. I guess the defining difference is that psychopaths are never sorry after behaving outrageously; they always blame their own actions upon others. In a case of poor behavior, is not the onus on the parent to set a good example, not to sink to the level of misbehaving children? Mr. Baldwin, whether he knows it or not, whether he intended to or not, just imparted to his daughter a strong unforgettable lesson in what is acceptable adult behavior. >>>Trying to blame one's own poor behavior on others is about the lamest thing there is. Damn right . . . I take full fuqing credit for the impressive list of stupid stuff I've accomplished over the years!~ On a more serious note . . . it is interesting how folks ascribe blame. I have what surely ranks as one of the best examples: QUESTION: "Mr. Cushinberry. . . why did you fire a shotgun 3 times at these 7 children?" ANSWER: "I thought they looked at me" As the front row of Black Panthers all nodded approvingly . . I waited for someone in the jury to say . . . "ahh . .that explains it then". People love to blame their stupidity on others . . . I take full credit for mine. . Lord knows I paid dearly for it. x1/2 |

come on blake, don't try to change the point i'm trying to make here, women are better at changing history than men are on their own. my wife has ruffled my feathers more than once over 25 years. their just better at pulling wires. |

Learned some simple rules when I worked on the railroad. Yelling leads to hitting. First to hit has huge advantage. So, anyone yelling around me needs to understand that I have gone to reflex mode and am deciding who to hit and I'm not real particular. 6 years of railroad and 4 years of "bouncer" duty in a north minnesota bar make me pretty quiet. Learned to really hate fighting as I realized there are some people that are really good at it. The really tough guys are rarely obnoxious and are slow to anger. I did hold the beers of a couple of guys that kicked the crap out an that had cussed out a daughter sent to get him from the bar. That phone message reminded me a lot of that evening and how the problem should have been dealt with. I've never hit a kid, never yelled at a kid and have always tried to show them a good example of how adults behave. Thats why I'm boring. |
