Hi, Just recently - my new 12scg ( 300 miles on the clock ) feels very jittery on the front end - not as smooth as before - like the the front suspension is over sensitive or something..any ideas ? How would go about adjusting the suspension for a smoother ride on bumpy roads ? |

Take it back to the dealer and have them set the suspension for your weight and riding style. They SHOULD have done that before delivering the bike. If they are clueless, check in your owner's manual for the recommended settings and adjust accordingly. |

What do you mean by jittery? If you mean the steering is too sensitive...reduce the rear preload by 1 or 2 clicks (assuming everything else is set correctly). Also, doublecheck your tire pressure. |

Check the manual and set the suspension for your weight. It is not difficult - the hardest part of this is getting the seat back on After riding on the recommended settings for a while, the manual has suggestions on tuning for specific characteristics you can try if you need Sometimes things in the front suspension feel like they're coming from the back, and vice-versa - having the preload off is a perfect example of this If all that doesn't work, ask the dealer to inspect the suspension for you - it's always possible something is wrong |
