What I mean is when I downshift, the shifter stays at the bottom of the stroke meaning I have to lift it to downshift again. I did recently replace the clutch cable and the shifter seal, so I had the primary cover , changed the gasket, refilled with 30 oz of the newest sport tran. I used to run mobil 1. It only does it once or twice during a 30 mile ride (commute to work) but it really gets your attention! Everything else seems to be fine. I haven't really started to troubleshoot, had to do the cams on the KZ this weekend, but i thought maybe one of you has seen this before. Can't find anything specific in the KV. Hopefully I just overfilled the primary or something silly like that |

Check your linkages for friction. |

It could be something binding in the shift linkage, but if it's not, it's the detent plate that makes the shifter return to it's starting point, so that's what I'd check next. |

I'll take a look, I'll bet I over tightened the bolt to the shifter. Thanks matt |
