Hello all, I've been a lurker for a while now. My question is, I installed a Hyper-Lite Dual Function running/brake LED kit per the instructions but am not getting any feedback from the lights. The instructions were pretty simple-stupid (or so I thought) and did not mention having to install any sort of relay. Should I have done that? Any ideas on what I should do next? Could it have been a faulty kit? Thanks in advance for any help. |

Do they have a web site and FAQ page, or a contact # or email? LED's shouldn't require a relay, they are low voltage enough, heck my LED flashlight doesn't have any relays. Check grounding and fuses/breakers? |

I put the 16 light blinker/brake/running light version on my FLHTCI by splicing into the equivalent wires on the bike (no relays). Biggest problem was finding good routing for all the wires & placing the lights as high as practical on the tourpack (put them behind/under the pax seatback). Works great & is much harder to miss/ignore even by the jacked up 4x4s. The guy who makes the hyperlites is very helpful -- call him. |
