Anyone seen the Ulysses ad in motorcyclist showing a Buell Messenger bag as this years free demo gift? Looks to be an awesome bag! Of course I called one of the nearest dealers and they had no idea that any such thing existed, including the fact that one could demo a Buell. I am no longer a Buell owner, and some of you will remember why, but I still sing praise about Buell anytime I am around the motorcycling crowds and would still like to have some Buell gear since I do plan to own one again, as soon as I get my post-marital finances back in order. So who is the closest dealer to Western Ky that is going to have these elusive messenger bags and allow me to demo a bike to get one? Any ideas would be great, and I'd really like to get to ride a Buell again anyway and this way I can kill two birds with one stone! | ||

I asked my dealer, and i was told the promo starts on the 15th so they didn't have bags yet. I'll be going back next week sometime just to give a bolt a ride  | ||

The Buell website will give you the participating dealers..All Buell dealers are not particpating. The nearest to me is 300 miles away. | ||

Umm, most likely the same bag or a close family friend they have been handing out for the past few years. Last year I was able to demo a buell ok, an 06 12R but getting the bag took a lot of, "Gee, I dont know if we have them, where are they, Hmmm...would you like to come back tomorrow, our Buell salesman will be here then...to finally ALMOST an hour later, Oh here they are, I found you one...Almost not worth the time. You can pick a new one up on E-bay, not "Sure" how they get all of them, for around 20-30 bucks new in the plastic. My "Demo Ride" lasted all of 4 minutes around the block, in traffic, with the Harley salesman right beside me... | ||

These are a new style "messenger" bag. Not the sling bag that they have been handing out for the last couple of years. These new bags are awesome!!!! | ||

The bags are looking pretty good to be sure - I actually got a brochure mailed to me about the promo. But good enough to drive hundreds of miles to get one? Sadly, although there's a local dealer here I apparently have to drive to neighboring State to find a dealer that actually offers the demo ride promotion. Doh! | ||

These are a new style "messenger" bag. Yeah, that makes a damn good laptop bag, padded and everything. Much better than any of the sling bags offered in the past. I'm still hoping that one year, they'll have a backpack... | ||

When I demo'd a bike last year, I had my choice of any bike on the floor. It could have been a Uly but I wanted to compare my 05 to a new one, Honestly, I couldn't feel ANY difference, I guess thats a good thing! | ||

Have them at the end of the week. I kind of want to save them for the gang that is serious buell riders, or converts. We get a lot of HOGGIES that you say the word FREE and they are in line, the dont even really ask what it is ...  Definately not the target market for a bike that colors outside the lines. | ||

Right, I'm a DIE HARD BUELLER. I wear my caps, sling bags and T-Shirts with PRIDE. Its my screen saver at work and my bike is parked Prominently where all can see her where ever I go. I make sure everyone knows what a Buell is about when I'm done talking to them!!! |
