I sent Gretzky and Howe card to sign Gretzky signed it and returned it and so did Howe.
Howe even personalized it, they both sit on my dresser sandwiched between 3 inches of plexi glass.
A baseball player I know personalizes all the autographs that he does. He tells me the reason he does this is to reduce the price of the object on the resale market. Most professional collectors don't want personalized stuff.
He also said when collectors send him a bunch of cards he will sign only one and send the others back.
Arrogant, no, I don't think so. So many people exploit any body they for profit. |

i wonder what i can get for my tank with erik's and bubba blackwells signature on it. of course the tank is starting to bubble where erik signed it so i guess it isn't worth anything to anyone but me. sorry, maybe next time. |

This is my favorite autograph from Erik, framed and on my wall, of the poster I got from homecoming, probably not worth anything to anyone but me.
I wouldn't sell anything I had autographed, why would I bother getting it if I didn't want it for myself??
Things I have mean a lot to me and that's how I like it !! You have no idea how hard it was to get that poster home without creasing and or bending it on the bike, what a hoot !!  |

This one's NOT for sale!
IT's one of the 2 autographed by Erik that we have - the other is an S2 Service Manual that mysteriously showed up here shortly after I got Penny a 1996 S2T for her birthday! (I am convinced that Mr. Canfield had a hand in that one, too!)
The picture was taken at the 1996 Love Ride. Penny was working the event as a volunteer and got into a typically enthusiastic Buell-related conversation with Court. The story I got was that Lorenzo Lamas came to her with some pressing backstage pass issue, but she told him he had to wait, 'cause she had to go get her picture taken with "someone important" - Yup - Erik!
Remind Court to tell us what really happened there!

Amazing gal, amazing story and an amazing time. Erik and I had been on the road for a month. Didn't even know each other were going to be at that event. I was in terrible shape, completely exhausted, he was worse. I tossed the M2 the day before.
Meeting Penny was a delight for both Erik and I. That type of enthusiasm was a shot in the arm. . . talk about one neat gal!
It's part of the "Best of Buell". . . the people.
