Yea no problem. I'll be on my bike all weekend. I think I'll probably go to work for a few hours on Saturday to do some training for this system I have to work on in Ireland but besides that I'm pretty much free. |

Jim,do you also get the "factory training"? You know....like..."we go to your factory and train to service our machines"!!! I used to see that...and get responses like,"We've never seen our machines do that before". Now we're in trouble. |

depends on what system. The systems that I work on typically run from 100K to ~500K. There are other systems in the Semiconductor division of our company that go for millions. |

Hey NEBO, hows it going boyz? Sounds like you had fun at MB - Eric I've seen a few comments about Hammer not being allowed to lead connected with your name, but no story. What happened? Anyway, I'm glad you kept your bike up (and Greg kept his dinner down) this time! Track should be opening soon (when the snow melts I guess!). We should really start looking at dates for you guys to come up. I live close to the track and have room for a couple of people to stay (though my shower has limited head room - long story!)Or there is a campground right around the corner from me. If you got out of work early on Friday you could make it for Friday night at the track followed by riding or boating on Saturday.... Or there are some Saturday Streetfighter races/test and tune. where you could come up Friday night or Saturday morning stay the night and ride or boat the next day.... Thoughts? |

Ahh a story...... Well I won't be the bearer of bad news so I'll let Eric tell you what happened but it goes something like this. I for one am all for a track day. I have a place to stay in Franklin if space is limited. |

Anybody going to Motomarket in Acton tomorrow 4/7/07? It's their aniversery party ,probably free food, you know, can't pass that up. I'm going to head up there in the late morning, then maybe putt around for a bit before returning to Sheldon's at about three to drop off the Uly for it's 1K service. If anyone's going up drop a note here, I'll check it in the AM before I leave, maybe we can hook up. DC |

You Guys are killing me! Okay not my best moment for sure... Ridding to the dragon down 60. Livnlo following, Tracker in back of him, both tapping it all on film, speed picks up and all is going good for a while, coming in on a corner and Tracker apears in right mirror(also filming)...I think he is way too close and is getting ready to pass on the right, split second to make a decision and I bail from the corner into a dirt driveway i see as not to take him out (nor myself)....all is good till i need to hit front brake as no more dirt driveway...front tire washes out and I fall down and go BOOM! I will leave it at that...I am still not pleased with that move but it is over and done with. It was caught on tape by both of them...just my luck, I crash and get it on tape by 2 people.... |

I'm talking about Epping. Louden sounds like a great idea until, at least for me, you look at the cost/risk factors! So drag racing is what I had in mind - cheap, safe, fun! And Eric, if you get passed on the right at the strip it is because you are in the left lane! Frankly your situation is a good example of why I do not like large groups and/or riding with people I don't really know...I'm glad it didn't end worse! |

I would love to go and run my bike down the 1320. Would even take the Family to this, They would have a good time doing something like that. What is req'd as for leathers? I have a jacket and pants but they do not zip together.... I have been watching ebay for a descent one on the cheap... |

"I would love to go and run my bike down the 1320" You want to ride a WHOLE quarter mile in a SRAIGHT line? Drop the keys and step back two paces from the Buell! |

Just because these bikes handle is no reason to turn your nose up at running the 1/4 mile Edger! Maybe you don't think it is your thing, but I promise you will learn better clutch, throttle and gearshift control! I also promise that you will have fun! Eric- for over 10.99 and under 120 mph you need boots above the ankle, leather jacket (though they will usually accept textile as long as it has armor), leather gloves, snell helmet. under 10.99 or faster than 120 you need leather pants (I wear them anyway - no requirement for zipping)and a tethered kill switch (very good idea to have even for street riding!). At least a top chain or belt guard is required - your bike will go through tech. It is not required, but I highly recommend a front end strap! Nose around http://newenglanddragway.com for schedule, hotels etc. I would be happy to meet anybody reading this at the track and show them the ropes! Streetnights are $20 for as many runs as you can get in - cheaper than pumping quarters into a racing game at an arcade! |

well there Edgar...I sure hope when we meet you do not have any "chicken stripes" on them tires of yours or I will be asking you why you do not hit the twisties like the bike is ment to do.... I personally do not like driving in a straight line...UNLESS it is 1320 at a time... Running your bike at the race track helps with shifting quickly and efficiently, the better you know your bike the better you can control your bike.... This also helps if you are at a track day as you can get out of the hole alot faster than others that do not practice this, also when another bike tries to smoke your a$$ at a light it just makes for Good competition.... |

Well now....a track day, that's more like it! I haven't been yet but it is IS on the list of things to do. Maybe this year, though I would really like to take Larry Grodsky's "Stayin' Safe" course down in PA, WV and Virginia. Now that sounds like fun! DC. PS. I think I can handle the shift-clutch thing. |
