It works great as a windshield, but it turns the bike into a bit of an SUV. I just took it off so that I could have my Corvette bike back. Whoooooohoooo!!! |

Orange pieces of crap! I mentioned on another thread that if the bike that took "the leap" had been black, it would have been lost to rotting undergrowth! |

So the best thing about them is that you can see them in ditches easily! |

As opposed to being on the roads where all the black ones are. |

If it was my Uly, before I would ditch it, I would just change the plastic skins to black and make it a keeper! And I forgot, that ugly orange seat would have to go also! |

Talk about being in pictures for all the wrong reasons. I vote we now refer to the BAW as the FAW (fugly ass windshield) "I'm am not an animal! I am a Buell!" (Message edited by chadhargis on April 05, 2007) |

Chad, I think you are just skeered of the BAW. But don't feel bad, lots of people are skeered of what they don't understand, it's part of the human condition. |

No....that little baby a$$ thing is not even close! The BAW put fear into the hearts of Gold Wingers, and several BMW cruisers too. I have at least double the bug splattering plexiglass as that thing does.....including the faring! Gold Wing sissy ass little windshield |

It only looks small. That's the Tulsa windshield for the Wing. I sat on a wing with one installed and it nearly hit my helmet it was so big and swept back. Goldwings aren't really a motorcycle, they are a two wheeled Honda Accord. No wind, gets to you, they weigh a ton, and they scrape things on the ground even when going slow. The Ulysses, as Fatty B so aptly said, "Is not for the weak". |

Every time I feel like bashing on wings, I have to keep in mind how they can be ridden with upgraded suspension and a good pilot. Case in point: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nrMQ3QwyPo |

Yeah, spend 7k in suspension mods, and ride the dragon 10k times, and you too can haul ass on that road. I will take my Uly over a wing any day. |

I prefer my Uly as well... Just wanted to provide a counterpoint to the comment that: "... they scrape things on the ground even when going slow." And now, back to your regularly scheduled Brand-X bashing. |

Chad, Seriously, my BAW is quite a bit larger than that Wing windshield, ask the Ft_b, he was brave enough to get behind it. Oh, and I mean on my bike, not just following in my slipstream! It is 36" from the bottom edge and 36" wide from the turn signal cut outs to above the mirrors. |

Smcnamara, Chad used to own one. He sent his to Traxxion Dynamics. He drug things. He isn't poking at it with a stick. He's ridiculing it with the spare key still hanging in his garage. |

Yep...I did the $2000 suspension upgrade. I had good tires. I had the whole works. It still turned like an 800lb two wheeled Honda Accord. Even at modest speeds, like 35mph, pegs would be dragging. I'm a big body position person, and I hung off and the works...still dragged parts. I'm not a Goldwing fan. It sucked open butt hole. It wasn't even that comfortable. No leg room, very hot, seat too jammed up into the bars, very little suspension travel which made the ride harsh (Traxxion suspension helped, but it still rode pretty bad). In my opinion, the Ulysses is 10X the bike the Goldwing is. It's lighter, handles better, is more comfortable, faster, and unlike the Wing...you actually get some wind hitting you other places than on your helmet. Goldwings bring a new meaning to the term "wind buffeting". Put the screen all the way up, bad....put it all the way down....really bad. Anywhere in the middle...terrible. I actually considered removing the windshield all together, but sold the bike before I got around to it. |

Last I knew, Honda offered a short windshield for the Goldwing. It was about 4" shorter than the original one. I only saw it on one Goldwing, but the owner had it for the reasons given above. Chad, why don't you get one, buy another wing, and then duplicate your suspension work and tires. Get back to us on the results with a new comparison to the Uly ASAP. |

I don't know what "sucked open butt hole" means, but it doesn't sound like a good thing. 'Bout frickin' crapped my pants! |

GOLDWING = Sucking one of these Comprendo Fatty?? By the way, here's all the wind screen I need: It works perfectly. Keeps the bugs out of my teeth, keeps the cold air off me (when used with a wind blocker), doesn't buffett my head, and it's "so pretty!". |

RIP? You didn't kill that dog by sucking its open a$$hole did you? The animal rights people would never let that stand. |
