Alright I didnt see a thread discussing this one so ere goes. If my Bike (06 SS)sits for mor the 24 hours the battery discharges enough that i wont turn over. The local dealership checked it out twice and the nly thing they coud come up with was that one of the cables was loose. The charging system seems to be working fine since as long as I ride daily the battery stays charged. Any thoughts previous experience would be appriciated. |

with the battery fully charged, disconnect the negative lead and use a multimeter to measure between the battery and the negative lead. the current flow, if any, should be in the milliAmps. If it is higher begin removing fuzes to isolate the circuit that is drawing current from your battery. once isolated to a circuit, try to locate the cause. Boiler |

Alright tested it and Im only pulling 1.5 milliamps, so that shoots that one in the foot. Though I pressed with pulling fuses and found it odd that my key switch fuse was pulling amps and my ECM well that one makes sense. |

Was that with a fresh battery? Or one that was already dead and unable to start the bike? If it was a charged battery, then it must be the battery, or it's an intermittent problem. You could try a new battery, or borrow a car battery over night and jumper it to the bike batttery terminals (without your bike battery installed) and see if the car battery does OK over night. |

Why not have your motorcycle battery LOAD tested? Most auto electric shops will LOAD test a battery for free. Check the yellow pages, probably an auto-electric rebuilder shop nearby that can help you out. |
