I will be honest here and say that I have not ridden the Uly in 4 days...The dealer just picked it up to do the sidestand & bas recall. My garage looks empty and I miss the Uly's presence just sitting in the garage. Now I'm sitting here 7 hours later and thinking, what am I going to do while it is gone..I didn't have any plans to go riding but now that it's visiting the dealer, I have this funky feeling like a parent waiting up for the young ones to come home..What the heck is going on here? Every time I venture out to the garage area I look at the empty space and wonder if they are as appreciative of MY BUELL @ the dealership as I am at home...I gave them a list of issues to check out and will re-check when the bike comes back. I just hope they don't mess anything up that I will need to correct later. Damn that thing ran nice the last time I rode it, what is going on here.. Yep I miss that ULY, even as it just sat in the garage. I had to uncover the Harley and see if that gave me the fix I needed..Didn't work, go figure...Please, no one mention going for a ride.......... |

SuperGlide, both fixes should take less than 2 hours combined. Shouldn't be down more than 1/2 a day???? Unless they didn't have the fixem's in stock? It's always a good idea to go over whole bike after a service. Hey, look at the bright side...you'll appreciate the bike that much more when you get back on it! Peace. |

Vikingdave, The recall work was the short list with parts in stock, I have an issue with the chain case drain plug striped out. Let them know they were the only one to touch it at the 1,000 mile service and I noticed it was leaking a bit and decided it was time for the 10,000 service when I found this out....Numerous other checks that I have delayed, side case latch broken, oil weep @ clutch cable to side case, front motor mount, pulsating brakes, ecm wire rub from seat etc... I'm counting the hours!! |
