Hi folks. This actually might not require dual high beam reflectors, expecially I rarely use the high beam except to flash. So, since I'm in the foggy Central Valley, I thought about putting a yellow in the high beam, and aiming it down a little. though it might make more sense to put the yellow in the low and put a brighty white in the high. any thoughts?? |

I'd go for the yellow on the low beam and white on the high beam. Sounds reasonable. |

its a great idea, but there is no independant aim adjustment for the high beam. here is my solution HID low beam, PIAA H3 auxilliary lites, one each in Amber and Extreme White. the high beam is a Piaa H7 in extreme white. I have a large number of lumens available here, pretty much dries out a wet road in front of me.

I just tested this sunday eve, a Luminetics H4,135/130W 2500K yellow bulb in my M2. ( with S3 fairing, so the smaller rectangular lamp ) A 55 mile night run at the posted limit of 65. ( some lying #$%# might say I hit over 80 on some stretches, just to test, well, it's a base canard, I tell ya ) It was moonless & foggy, the yellow cut the fog well, was bright enough on low or high beam. In fact, I thought it quite restful on the eyes, and near enough to white to be fine as my only illumination. I had worried about that & I hope it is close enough to "white" to avoid imperial attention. When I stopped at a bud's house, he commented that it was distinctive looking, which was 1/2 the point. Anything to make a bike stand out is a good idea, with so many cars with daytime running lights, & the "blue" lights such a pain in the optic nerve, "yellow" seems to be the trick. http://www.webbikeworld.com/t2/motorcycle-light-bulbs/yellow-light-bulbs.htm |

Fullpower, how did you mount your PIAAs? Some kind of strap around the strut? Are you concerned the lower strut guard could hit your lights when strut compresses? |
