Ratyson, I wouldn't mix tires, but that's just me. And the tire manufacturer. Yeah, I doubt I would mix either. Even if it worked well, I think I would be uneasy about it.} |

Blake... Thank you for the Storm Fronts link. Would it be possible to add Glitch's weather module above and the following image to the top of this thread so they are always visible?

That is awesome! Is it bad that I'm 90% packed already? All my clothes are already packed in a saddlebag, and my sleeping bag is packed in the other. All I have left is my toiletries and my electronics, all of which will wait to be packed till the day I leave because I'm still using them. Man am I ready for this trip. |

Nutsosane, No reservation is needed for T.W.O. ***Correction*** Ride 2 will NOT take us across the Cherohala Skyway. But, ride 1 and 2 will bring us up Hwy 68. Hwy 68 has a good amount of twisties that will keep you on your toes!! |

Interest rates and the constantly fluctuating cost of oil does it for me. |

The friggin weather guys can't get tomorrow right and you guys are worrying about what they're saying next weekend looks like?! Know what? Whatever the weather is, is what it will be. Let's worry about tangible things, like running out of beer or condoms...Neither of which you will find within 30 miles of T.W.O. Porn too...No porn in that county. |

SO TRUE! But do you actually think I can go without looking at the possible weather? Not a chance! My riding gear is all waterproof, so I'm not worried about getting wet, It'd just be so much nicer if it was dry. |

The weather changes pretty quickly this time of year, especially in North Georgia. My first MB(II) it rained off and on, but never where I was riding and it didn't spoil anyone's time. I know that everyone coming in from out of town has reason to be concerned, but cloudy weather is a good thing on the kind of roads you'll encounter down here. With most of the foliage still waiting for Spring, the trees will be bare. If the sun gets low on the horizon, the strobe effect through the trees gets really disorienting, especially if you're an old fart... er, middle aged rider. There is going to be good weather somewhere between Suches and Robbinsville that weekend, count on it. Look at the bright side; inclement weather is a great squid filter and we are BadWeatherBikers. |

Bad weather rides make the best stories. Man it was raining so hard!! I think I would stay dryer in the shower! It was so cold my tires froze to the pavement at a red light. |

Let's worry about tangible things, like running out of beer or condoms...Neither of which you will find within 30 miles of T.W.O. i just eliminated my source of need for condoms. she was a pretty seatcover, but..... the cowboy must ride off into the sunset. lock up your daughters/wives/livestock! i'm back on the hunt! and happily flyin' solo at MBIV! |
