Hey Court, maybe you can help me with this one: I had a customer call today wanting to put a sidecar on to a Buell. He wanted to know what model would accept a sidecar. I would guess if it 's possible it would have to be a "tuber" of some sort-like and S2 or S3. Is this even possible? Let me know what you think. Thanks, BudC | ||

Bud: It has been done, an M-2 if I recall. It takes some thinking and some innovation. The power delivery and torque characteristics were cited the last time as I recall. I think that was in 1998. | ||

Hi it can de done, see the picture. Not my taste but it is possible on a XB also    I think it was done by a German company called Sauer which does alot of sidecar conversions. Best wishes from Germany Basti | ||

Hi Matthew & Bill Bamberg is close to Grafenwoehr and to Regensburg we have around 100 miles ( very close for an American )If you ever come again to Germany you have to visit my hometown Bamberg. We're famous for our Beer :-) Best wishes Basti | ||

Bamberg is an attractive town well noted for it's pubs with on premises breweries producing Bamberger Rauchbier, made with smoked hops after centuries old recipes. Worth going there just for that, plus the ambience of the river winding through it. And, of course, the Autobahn speed limit is now, what?, 156 mph? Twenty some years ago, before the speed limit, I was driving a rented Opel cracker box at over 100 when a station wagon full of nuns went by so fast their draft almost pulled the Opel's doors off. There's a lesson there somewhere: Go faster. | ||

I stand corrected. It is my understanding that new vehicle manufacturers in Germany have an unofficial agreement to limit top speed to 156 mph. Except for am schnellsten autos, naturlich. Zum beiSpeil Bugatti, Porsche, und so on. |
