So a battery tender just plugs into the wall and keeps your battery strong? Just wanted some feedback on this..

thanks

Yeah, That's about it. It keeps your battery charged without overcharging it like a simple charger will.

I keep all my bikes on Battery Tenders when I am not riding them. It close to doubles battery life.

Yeah, it is just a trickle charger with some sort of logic that preserves the battery instead of frying it.

It's a good thang (tender). I routed my pigtail plug into the tail compartment (under passenger seat - Firebolt) so it's not exposed but easy to get at...

The Tender has really saved my bike and car many times. I had charging problems for a long time and the tender kept the bike alive. For long term storage I put in a a small battery cut off switch. Now every time I need the bike I put the key in and the starter turns the engine on a full charge. It's also a good security feature along with my Xena wheel lock.

LOL! I put one on my Harley, but after 3 weeks it was still charging. Here is my top secret tip, make sure you have the positive cable on the positive post and the negative cable on the negative post. Good thing they have that little in line fuse!

I've been using one for years. I've NEVER had a battery go bad, including the spare battery a friend gave me 3 years ago. It's been on that tender for 3 years sitting in my garage unused.

One day, I might find a use for it. : )

I have to give credit to Cerini HD, Buell, where I bought my bike.
They installed the hook-up for the Battery Tender on the bike before I bought it.
I was told this is standard practice for them.

If you dont use it, how do you know its good ;)

A green light on a charger could still be a weak or short cell that would not show up until the battery was under load.
