I've been playing around with different mirrors for XB. I think I finally came up with a set I'm going to stick with.

HD_Rizoma

HD_851

I cut the "head" off a set of short stem HD mirrors, drilled and tapped them and then added them to a set of Rizoma 851's.
Now I've got some extra mirrors For Sale...
I'll be posting them in the classifieds. A Set of CRG Hindsights(w/plugs), a set of HD Long Stem Black Mirrors with 10mm conversion, and the heads of the Rizoma 851's.

The 851's look really cool, but if you want to actually use them... They are quite small and make it tough to see what's behind... Maybe if they had convex glass they'd be useful.
Just my $.02

I'd like to get those night trane mirrors off you hands. what are you asking for them and are you going to be around daytona for bike week and bring them with you perhaps. I thought about using those myself when trying to decide on a mirror.

Kaveman, I'm interested in those mirrors if you are interested in parting with them.

I've tried a few mirrors and decided to go withe the Napoleon style mirrors from Americansportbike.com I was sick of looking over my shoulder on the interstate and having my helmet lid fly up. I really like these mirrors. They were inexpensive, look fairly decent and you can move them around everywhere. My .02

I never knew there were long and short stem mirrors but those look a little tall for my liking unfortunately. Thanks though.

Pokinatcha,
I originally made a set with short stems, they just give you too much "shoulder" in the rear view. So I made a set with long stems and they still have a bit of "shoulder" but alot less than the short ones. Bottom line is I think to eliminate "shoulder" you need to get Bar End Mirrors. I Tried a set of CRG's, and they are nice, but not to my liking. The Rizoma/HD set I put together seem to be a good compromise... A good view, not much "shoulder", and they look COOL!!!
Just my $.02... Wish I coulda made it up to Daytona!
