Like many Buelligans, I was beginning to tire of my amber wheels, and the fact that the coating was chipping off didn’t help much either. In addition, the Hals competition swing arm, which was raw aluminum, looked like it needed a little love too. Enter brother Pete Alesso, (XBCRAZY), who is an excellent powder coater. After an exhaustive search, he was able to exactly match the Buell Graphite black frame color. After doing a great job on the swing arm, he suggested that instead of doing the wheels with black centers and polished lips,as we had originally planned, that he make the centers graphite black instead of black. I think it was a pretty cool idea. Pete’s web site is: www.grandstanddesigns.com |

Dan, Nope, no snow up here today. It was 50 degrees, and I put the new wheels on the bike and went for a ride. Tons of fun that was. What with all the mods I have made to the bike it is getting to be almost as fast as a yellow one!

Hey Jon- Rims look Great!!! I Want a set, too! Why don't you send them to me before you put them on your bike...so I can see if I really like them..... I've been contemplating a set of Black rims for my Lightning....but those would look sooo much better. I painted my frame rails and passenger brackets with Buell Graphite Grey. |
