what has been done to it, who worked on it last, is it stock, do you know the history of mods, maintenance, do you buy gas from a reputable gas station, have you drained the tank and refilled with fresh gas, checked the air filter lately? gotta start with the basics, ya know. |

Without more information about the bike its tough to tell. But that said, read the story in my profile. I had a similar problem that ended up being the intake seals. Took me several weeks to isolate the problem though. You should replace yours regardless, as they tend to get hard and brittle over time. Consider them a maintenance item every few years. Good luck. Hey Reks sounds like the same thing my '99 X-1 is doing gonna try the head temp sensor. Sounds like alot of bogging problems fixed by changing that if read enough of these articles. If that doesn't work gonna go to a Keihin carb and say screw the FI. Good Luck gettin' it figured out. Chris |

My issue with bogging on my 00 X1 was moisture in the plug wire caps creating a misfire on one head.Plug wires were good but moisture kills em till you dry them out or change them. either way a cheap fix. |
