Sometimes after a long ride if I rev my bike a few times it'll shoot small flames out of the tailpipe as it winds down

Lemme see if I got this right, ok? You had this scooter for a week and you are still running the stock can and the reflectors? Jon, my 03 never had an aftermarket muffler on it. and the reflectors are still there. Perhaps you're thinking of someone else. But, yeah the elastic band has not earned my trust! . . . Saintly, That chain is sweeeeet. But is that the stock tensioner pulley? Won't the chain eat thru it? Not_Purple, No it's not the stock pulley its made of nylon. I had one on my "03" 9R chain driven for 12,000 miles and it was still going when she caught fire this winter. |

I sold the custom super moto. I only bought it to learn to wheelie. I think im going to stick with roulette green, orange wheels and polish the seat subframe. Ive seen the flamers advertised on ebay. you fit igniting spark plugs in rear of exhaust. Fire breathing buell what a vision. Im completely nuts. Would you beleive im 49 , when will i grow up. Hopefully never! |

Scunna, love the ride! looks way sicker than Phase 1 Question, do you know if there are any spacers available to jack up the rear without needing to change the seat? i'd love to get a little more height out of the rear, seems the seat pan could maybe compensate for a small change. i was planning to drop Matt at Trojan a note about this too. not sure who makes the spacers you have for your kit. You can get spacers from trojan. but the seat unit is slightly diferent on jacked up version. mine has spacers welded into the subframe. hopefully i can polish the weld so as it looks all one. |

Sorry i see what you mean. You want to use the original seat. no problem. if mat has not got any try here http://www.frank-parts.de/f-menu.html He makes the jacked up seat and supplies the spacers with it. |

It may not be possible to jack up the rear using the stock seat unless you can find a way of reshaping the original seat base slightly. The Eurofigher seats use two different moulds for the two types (standard or jacked up versions) and the seats are not interchangeable. |

thanks for the responses. hmm, guess it would be an experiment. only reason i wondered is because i have a little bit of play in my stock seat. the Eurofighter seats look to be much more rigid which would explain them not being interchangeable. so i would assume the problem area is the latch directly under the middle. wonder how hard it would be to reshape the stock slightly to allow the latch to catch. (not the rear latch) Matt, do you sell the spacers alone? or only as a kit? (Message edited by typeone on February 12, 2007) |

That's a good lookin' 12 ya got there Elff(so happens I also have a blk/amb 12R). Where did you get the Heli top clamp? I like the helmet lock, unfortunately I have already removed my pass. pegs/brackets. Have to start huntin' a diff. place to mount it. By the way, mine is completely stock so yours may not be as "tame" as you think. |

Both Daves and American Sportbike have the Helibar top triple tree. It sounds only like a small change, but it makes a big difference in riding position |

Elff, how do those low profile scoops work, in terms of cooling? Do you notice if the fan runs any less? |

With the right side scoop in the stock shape, I definately noticed a difference with the fan running less With these, I think it runs about the same but..... I bought these for looks and looks alone I did get them from Trojan |
