I'm still really interested in replacing my Ss tail with a Uly tail using the Ss pieces as the base (same undertray, etc.). However, before I go nuts ordering pieces, I'd really like to take a better look at what's under the Uly seat, so I'll have a better idea what I'm in for. I've asked over in the Uly board if anyone could possibly get me a copy of the exploded view of a Uly tail from the parts manual, but so far I haven't gotten any responses. I don't suppose any of you Lightning or Firebolt people have a Uly parts manual lying around that you'd be willing to scan for me? I'd REALLY appreciate it! Thanks, ~SM |

We're willing to help, we just don't want to explode our rear ends! |

Is THIS where the White Castle discussion is moving? I thought it would be in the "Sliders" topic but I see we're talking about exploding rear ends here... |

Call Adam over at Appleton and get him to fax you a copy of what you need out of the parts manual. I'm sure if you combine the request with the promise of an order, he'd be more than happy to help you out. Dave did this for me more than once. |

Swordsman, I'll go over to Hals this weekend and shoot some detailed pics of a Uly tail if you like. If you wait like 6-8 weeks, I'll be documenting my XB12STT(which is identical to the Ss, just taller suspension, and a different seat) to Uly tail experience in great detail. The fine folks over at Hals will be compiling a list of items I need for the transformation. |

You guys are great! I'll PM Dave ASAP. And Steve, it could very well be that long before I get into it. Is Hals looking to offer a simple bolt up conversion? ~SM |

mmmm White Castle... But I fly at Fat Burger when I am way out west. Let the lego building begin, bags are in, lights are in, handle bars back from powder coat, pics coming as build progresses, Nice to finally have all the parts |

Swordsman. I bet it wouldn't take much coaxing for them to do just that. They did express a concerned interest in my doing this project. I've already scored the side cases for about 50% off retail from another badwebber. Which is 50% of why I'm doing this 'lil swap. |

SM, could you share the info (post it here) after you get it. I want to do the same conversion. |

it is not going to work with the Ss parts, I don't think. I'll shoot you the parts pics for both bikes in the morning. And TX It's Andy not Adam. |
