bart- paint is good. that blue is an excellent color. clearing has been the hard part in this heat. trying a new clear on tuesday. i didn't do the trackday this weekend, too hot. planning either sept. or oct. i'll be at chase's on monday. | ||

Rocket, I'd rather be in shit weather in Wisconsin than this scorching dry weather down here at the moment. You can't ride more than an hour without having to pull over to hydrate yourself, not to mention the scorching a Buell XB12 will put on your right leg riding in this heat! Wayne, sounds good, should we wait for the temps to come down? or should I find some kind of air conditioner for your shop?  Rex, I may create my own "cube" out of this '08 XB12xt that cooks my leg, and surges worse than a drunk trying to cross the street. Guys, cooler weather will be upon us one of these days. Don't forget the Ridefest up in Springerville in September. We are going to ride up to Springerville via Globe, and SRC on the 11th, we will be staying at the Rode Inn in Springerville friday and Saturday nights. The 12th we will ride to Alpine, then over to New Mexico, and down to hwy79 which will take us to Clifton. We will stop around the state line, I want to pay my respects to Daryl, he went down back in 2003 during the BRAG torquefest ride. Smokedaddy placed a memorial for him at the site and I try to stop whenever we do this route. We will do lunch in Morienci at a great little Cafe we stumbled upon during the Springfast ride. Then head UP hwy191 and back to Springerville for the nights festivities. Sunday the 13th we will head back to town via Heber and Payson, and back to the sweltering hotbox. This is really a fun ride, it's not a race, or a track day. We ride at a decent pace, and take lots of breaks. This ride is about enjoying some great curves with some fun people. So get out of that stuffy house, out of this hot-assed city, and up into the mountains to enjoy three days of fun out of the sun! It's well worth taking Friday off to make this ride... Bart | ||

rex i showed, but not until 7. worked late. the waitress said there was another, but he left. bart giving it a shot on thursday, should come out fine. i am getting tired of sanding, this urethane clear is tough stuff. if i get it to spray correctly, you can't hardly scratch it, and it sure does shine. i can't wait until the weather cools, riding in this heat sucks, and i miss my ride time. |
