My M2 is still new, really trying to pay attention to the break in period so I've been nice to it so far. So my question is, once I am allowed to beat on it, will it pull the front wheel up past 1st gear? I mean a real wheelie, not just a hop. Laconia is two weeks away and I can't get out of work. Sucks. |

I know the S1 can, so I bet I could make an M2 do it too. Try it - what ya got to lose. |

Ok, so I expected more response. Maybe my question is stupid, just want to know if I will be able to rip wheelies on this thing. It's a M2, dynoed at 85RWHP. Thats what we do here. We ride stupid and rip wheelies. It's cool. Haven't crashed doing it yet on my FZR. I guess others think that people like me and my friends give motorcycles a bad name. However, we go out to the brand new roads through the farms and act stupid. Nobody around to bother. Actually, when we did get stopped once in town, police told us to go out to the back roads and act like morons. Haven't tried much yet on the Buell. Being nice to the motor during break in period. Love the Buell so far though, best bike I've been on to date. Even my father who rides a Road King likes it. How about stoppies? I'm also wondering why I never see many Buells at Laconia? Am I asking this in the wrong section? Thought the quick board was for this? Chris, You will be able to wheelie anytime you want. Wack the throttle full open from a start, no need to dump the clutch or pull on the bars, the front wheel comes up, ready or not (learn to cover the rear brake). Any Buell also will 'stoppie' at will...big front brake, short wheel base = stoppie. Mickey |

Chris, We had a guy try being a hot dog on a short parking lot on a BUSA last summer (trying to wheelie) after I was a hot dog. Well on a real short lot the S1 could get up, wheelie a good bit then down safely, the guy on the BUSA on the other hand used the 8ft high chain link fence as a backstop as he tried to do it in the same distance. OH WELL poor BUSA. DAMM STRAIGHT A BUELL WILL WHEELIE AND STOPPIE. Not that we condone that type of behaviour here. I challenge ANYONE to come over to the island and try to wheelie across the whole thing. Its the most fun you will have on two wheels with your clothes on. I live in Laconia. If any fellow badwebers are going to be in the neighborhood during bike week, send me an email or post a message. We can have some beers and sing Skynyrd songs real loud! Seriously, we're having a BBQ so stop by. |

Sickquad, I've been doing Laconia for 20 years now, 7 of them on my S2. I'll be up there again this year. I stay in Penacook just north of Concord as this is where I was raised and I have family there. My little brother also lives in Louden close to the track. I'll be with some fellow Buellers from PA this year. Hope to see ya, good luck with your wheelies. |
