Numbers aren't everything? Blasphemy! ;)

Force came out with a strap-around front mount for the pipes on the tubers, my guess is it will enhance the durability quite a bit. I got one for mine, plus I use a front tie-bar like the 96-98's. I was never a fan of the Force's interconnecting rubber piece on the front mount, seems like it's designed to let the thing swing in the wind. When you let the pipe move around like that, you flex the bejeezus (technical term) out of the studs. Bottom line, the pipe's got to be supported, when you make one mount more flexible you just move the strain to somewhere else.

This XB9 pipe mounts like the stocker though, it shouldn't move around any more than the stock piece. Hopefully they made everything beefy enough, I guess it remains to be seen.

Aaron-

You bring up an interesting point which really got me thinking. Exactly what is the Modulus of Bejeezus for the exhaust studs? Could you find a a more suitable material that would still have an acceptable Clc (Coefficient of Livincrap)?

Aaron,

Does the PCIII for the XB control just fuel or fuel and ignition?

Just fuel. Dynojet makes a version of the PC3 that controls ignition as well, called the PC3R, but they don't offer it for Buells.

For the Record:

Can you put a jack under the Force Pipe, like the stock unit?

Aaron or anyone else that can answer.

I have been told by Dynojet that they do not make nor do they plan to develop a power commander for the XB9R. In the discussion above, are you guys using a power commander designed for a different model Buell? If so, please tell me which one. If you have a part number that would be great.

Misato:

Can you check out the notes about the headlight on the XB9s board? I was curious how you wired yours up and if you changed the sockets and bulbs or how you did it.

Thanks,

Mark

Hey guys,
It's dblhaulxb9s from Gunnison CO, do any of you live on the western side of Colorado or come over here often, I need some more Buelligans to ride with. I am also wondering when I can get the Force Kit, I need that power. I experienced my bike at about sea level in New York and it was so much better. Also, how much is that kit going to set someone back if you plan on doing it yourself.

You'll find the details on our exhaust page.

Pipes are shipping but slowly. A few have been delivered, many more people are waiting on theirs.

I'd move fast ... Dynojet has just recently quit making the Power Commander we use with that pipe. Once the existing inventory is gone, it's gone. Plan B is under development, but I'm concerned there will be a gap between when the supply of PC3's has dried up and when the new solution is ready.

Hey aaron...have you all experimented with cooling jets (to spray oil at the bottom of piston like the TC's) on a Buell motor? Seen it advertised here somewhere a while back...Do you think there's anything to gain there?

The XB's come stock with piston oiling jets.

Hey Dblhaulxb9s:
We had 12 bikes Buells in Salida last weekend, with 9 continuing on to Lake City. Watch our web page for upcoming rides. We have one in La Veta coming up shortly, along with a 14 mountain pass ride in your neighborhood. I'll email you detailed info Tuesday (which I have on my desk at work). You're welcome to come ride, membership is not required.

Chainsaw, thanks for the invite, I would love to ride with you guys. It is good to hear that you come to this area. I have a bit of a race track that some people call a road over here that you would love. It is Highway 92, it goes from Blue Mesa Dam towards Hotchkiss, it is increadible and not patroled much at all. e-mail me if you are coming and I will check your website. Hope to see you soon.
