On June 5th during the Ameicadehttp://www.tourexpo.comMotorcycle touring Rally hosted in Lake George,NY I was chosen to be the Americade King for 2003. I entered the contest on my '99 S3T. The contest consisted of slow riding skills (hard to do on a Buell) personnal appearance, and an interviewhttp://www.americade.info/kingandqueen.htm. Since being selected, I've done interviews & photos with Rider & Roadbike magazines, a tv spot for 2Wheel TV to be air in Cal. first and more. It was a lot of fun and met a lot of people, famous & not so famous. For prizes I got a set of tires from Dunlop, next years registration & accomindations for the event paid, sash, 2 crowns (1 is for the helmet while at the event), a trophy, shirts, hats, and discounts from the vendors (over 200 on site). I will remain King for the first part of the event next year until I pick my successor from next years contest. In the 21 year history of Americade, I was the first to enter on a Buell and then the first to win the crown with a Buell. Something different but lots of fun. |

Too cool...All hail King Don! Congratulations, Court P.S. - Avoid wearing your crown if you are in the West Village! |
