Hi,

Im jsut about to pick up a BRAND SPANKING NEW xb9sx 07model in a few weeks.
Call it pre wedding nerves or whatever but im wondering if any other XB9SX'ers have had any probs with a new model - anything to look out for ?
This maybe a strange 'Q' to some but the way I see it New doesn't always mean better or more reliable. The demo bike I tried was great & felt rock solid & I can't help thinking - the dealer would look after that model more as it needs to be on form. I wonder if I have to re adjust anything to suit my riding or even weight for that matter - any tips would be much appreciated

Your dealer should help you set up the bikes suspension for you, if not there are lots of tips on this board to help, enjoy I know I do mine.

i have an 06 cityX. i love it.

just take it off the lot, break it in gentle, then once you finish yer break in, ride it like you stole it.

i had a kickstand break, but that's what happens when you have bikini clad models posing and climbing all over it as it rests on that cheap little jiffy stand.

it's tough being a buell rider..... nah. no it's not.

Another 06 here... No problems.

I would actually say the demo bikes get trashed a lot more than any showroom bike. The demo bike do not get a proper break in. Most people take them out and flog them. I know I certainly did...

My dealer rolled out a cityx from the showroom floor and turned me loose for a few hours. The bike only had 30miles on. Pulling out of the dealer I hit redline.

When I got back, i promptly told them I would take one, a different one...
Luckily they had another one there with 3 miles on it.

Too bad they redlined it at the factory first.
