Mrs Glitch, Ask you doc for a script for Chantix. That stuff works great! disclaimer: I still smoke, but not because the Chantix failed me, I failed the Chantix. |

Day two without a cigarette... you can do it! My Daddy quit cold turkey after smoking for 35+ years. Stay with it. Looking forward to meeting you in March! Kristi

I guess I'm ok so far, still keep doing things like I'm about to go outside for a smoke, but I ain't too bad off. I was over at Smokescreen and MissBehavin's last night, and it didn't bother me at all when they lit up. I really wanted one after dinner, and just before I turned in. And no I'm not cross posting, Me and MrsG quit together. There's no way one of us could consider quitting while the other kept on. Been using Commit. Tastes like minty shit, but seem to work pretty well...so far... |

I completely forgot that yall were quitting! Sorry to "light up" with you there. Force of habit. I may quit one day, but right now, if I did, I am pretty sure I would end up killing lots of people. And the whole Smokescreen and Adam wheelie thing...that sounds like a recipe for disaster. Not so much with SS, but Adam - if you know him, you know what I am talking about. |

Sorry to "light up" with you there. Don't you worry about it. I can handle it, I'm doing much better than I thought I would. We will try to go for a ride to help your mood! Ain't nuthin like a ride to get one's mind right! |

Buelluzki....It really doesn't! But I'm hoping Eric will hear the call and start offering a lower Firebolt, RED to be exact! Stopping smoking... I did 5 years ago, gained 30lbs but STILL do not regret it. Dr. prescribed me a pill, can remember the name. Started with a Z, Ziban I think. Took it for a month before I actually stopped. I would make it all day, go to bed and couldn't go to sleep because I kept thinking I just HAD to smoke that one. Finally, I made it a full 24 hours and when I woke up I laid there thinking of what I was going to do first thing when I got out of bed (because the norm was to light up) so I decided to go straight and brush my teeth. Well, I rinsed and put the toothbrush back in my mouth and carried it around then switched to a straw. My boss told everyone to shut up and not say a word cause if that what it took, he was all for it. Now, if THAT isn't stupid enough, I actually had the thought cross my mind, "But if I don't smoke, what will I do" so I started answering back (but not where anyone could hear me), "You'll do what non-smokers do which is NOTHING". After that (and the first 7-10 days) it got easier and easier. Having a beer (and coffee) was what made it toughest so I stopped drinking coffee and started having a cigar (since you don't inhale those) with my beer. Still do on an occasion. Stick with it! it will be worth it, health wise AND $$$$ wise. And "HI" Mrs. Glitch! |

I quit smoking 15 years ago after a pack-a-day Marlboro red habit. The hardest and best thing I ever did for myself. I don't miss cigarettes one bit now. I wonder how much money I've saved since 1992? |

I tell ya Smokescreen that flip-nipple thing still hurts....like a bad AZZ whoopen I got in the fourth grade I've gotten better on my wheelies and self control. Still not up to Charlies wheelies and until I can stand on my bad leg with equal weight I never will. Charlie you are my Wheelie HERO.. After 5 bikes and about 200,000 miles of riding thats not bad.....I know several people that have flipped their bikes over and some that went down to rider error. It happens to the best of us. I'm sure most riders will agree. As far as the track goes. Once you've got on the track you'd become a track addict like the rest of us. I'd bet you be pretty fast and could hold your own for sure. I could see you put the hurtin on some people... I normally wouldn't do this because theirs always some faster....but since you started it here its goes. Its time to shut up, or put up...or something like that. I seem to remember you running that mouth about your Tiger and how it would eat up the Duc or something like that when I was up at SMHD. There's plenty of spots at Tally this weekend.... I've never been on the new track and I'll sit out the first morning session out and let you try the track first. Then I'll do a few laps on the Duc' that I've never even rode. How about 10 or so.. Then I'll ask Ed to set up a mock-up race for "us" and I'll let you grid up front and use any bike you want. I'll grid behind and we'll see what happens. The looser pays for the track day..... Hows that? Or option # 2 If you don't want to race.... You and I will just go for best lap time at the end of the day so you can get all the seat in that you can in. If I can get my hands on my buddies stock EX500. I'll us it.....and if not I'll us the Duc' It should be ready. I won't even us the Buell which is the bike I know best. The balls in your court... Are you in? |

Hey guys. Bad news...New12r was in a bad wreck on the way home from our house. He is at Gwinnett Medical and BA, his mom, and others are there as well. He got knocked out pretty bad but BA said that he was coming to when she got there and was talking to her before he left. Adam (Phil's best friend) went and got pics of the bike and they are not pretty. Details are sketchy and I dont want to post anything wrong. As far as I know, there were no other vehicles involved. Just keep them in your prayers. |

Sam called and I ran out the door half dressed with my leg stalking on. It wasn't pretty... I called bobby to meet me hoping we could beat the wrecker and get the bike to the house. The wrecker beat us... Just got back from the hospital. The Doc' said it looks like he has a couple of small fractures in his neck and will be treated with the neck brace as far as he can tell for now, and the CT and other test came back positive. They said they'd have more news later. I don't want to post anything more. I'm sure we'll be updated. The most important thing is that Charlie will be okay. We'll keep him and Sam in our thoughts and prayers.... (Message edited by shred on January 04, 2007) (Message edited by shred on January 04, 2007) |
