I have a 1999 x1. Its red the tires have about 500 miles on them. I just put on a new carbon fiber oval air cleaner with a race ecm, toaster box eliminators painted to match plastics, and a chrome rear pulley cover. The bike also has a super trapp pipe and a corbin seat. She has 32,XXX miles. I know it is a high milege bike but it has a service record that would make a car collector proud. Bike like brand new. My thing is I'm thinking of selling it for a XB, but not sure how much she is worth with the high milege. |

if the bike is paid off, which i'm sure it is by now, keep it cause you would never be able to replace it. i'm hoping to build a bigger garage just to have the room. i might not have as many bikes as some of these guys do but i'm catching up. besides i really don't think you would get much more than 2500 for the bike. and that's after what i've seen so far with some of these bikes for sale. found a buddy an 02m2L for 3500 with 2600 miles. |

I bought a '99 S3 new... and later, I decided I wanted an XB also but didn't want to sell the S3. Found a killer deal on a new '04 XB. Now I have both - best of both worlds. I'd keep the '99 and look for a deal on an XB. They are out there! |

Even though it says Buell on the tank, the X1/S3 and XB models are very different in many ways. Depending on how I feel and where I'm going will dictate bike choice... it's tough, but sombody's gotta do it. There are deals out there. Ya just gotta keep your ear to the rail and you will find your XB. They are selling '06 XB12s/ss for $9K here in NH. Not a killer deal but not bad either... |

it is sad to say, but a buell with that many miles would be a hard sell at 3,000.00 It is worth more in parts than as a complete bike. I don't know why this is just seen it a few times |

'99 X-1 being paid off isn't costing you a thing. The best you could sell it for is 3k.... ;and you will regret it for the rest of your life. *Even I could scrape-up the 3k trade in amout towards a new Buell. Remember, tax return time is soon approaching... |

I have a M2 and an XBR, with some mods on both. I truly love both bikes and depending on my mood and where or what I'm going to do dictates what I ride. There are plus and minuses for both bikes. But the longer I have the XB, the more I appreciate the M2.It works better in more different situations than the "R"does. It's hard to explain, bottom line is I have never regretted keeping the M2 and if my garage caught on fire and I could only save one bike,well....D@#N. I'm really gonna miss that"R". It's a real close call for different reasons...Charlie |
