So I'm heading to NYC May 3-4 to hang out, act like a tourist, and generally see how much trouble I can get into. I finally broke down and got a digital camera - was it Henrik or Dale that looked at me in Sept. and said "uh, you have to put FILM in your camera? I didn't think they made those anymore"  so photo opportunities are a prereq. Any recommendations on silly things to do? Taking the train, and taking the g/f, so tips on a place to stay are appreciated as well. | ||

court, yep, i'm a little competitive by nature, so I figure we should try to beat the mayhem caused by blake and r_t. anyone have thoughts on the Edison Hotel, 228 W. 47th St.? Close to the theatre district should I score some tix. although i'm thinking maybe a hogs & heifers trip instead? | ||

so tax procrastination is a good thing - i got off my butt and set up a web photo gallery on my server at home - I have some pics from the trip to CO last Sept. right now - scanner quality is iffy, but some of them turned out okay - take a look, I'm allowing public commenting on the photos, so if you're in one feel free to comment away. http://super20.shacknet.nu/gallery I'll have more pics soon, that's why i bought the digital camera. | ||

West 47th is a fairly benign neighborhood. I'd suggest Red Rock West over Hogs - less Tourist/Bridge & Tunnel crowd. Red Rock benefits from being neighbor to the DEA, so you get a fun mix of real riders, young DEA officers from outta town and hardcore chicks dancing and drinking on the bar. Where else would you have a buxom bar tender (female ) grab you by the hair, bend you back - face up, over the bar and clamp your head between her legs while pouring a Jack shot directly in your mouth?? Philly, shoot me a mail when you know your plans so we can hook up. My serious drinking days are over, but we can still go out for some food and a few drinks  Henrik (it was a fun night  - the day after sucked) | ||

Red Rock West sounds like a plan - basic itinerary is arrive Sat. AM, do basic touristy stuff all afternoon, (Empire State, Central Park, etc. etc.) and then get dinner and go out for a few drinks.
