Can I put frame pucks over CF frame covers? Is it possible? Will they still offer the same level protection? Or will just slide off with the CF cover in the event of a crash. Here is a set of those CF covers for XB ebay item # 220056960815 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item =220056960815&ru=http://search.ebay.com:80/2200569 60815_W0QQfromZR40_W0QQfviZ1 |

I've personally seen it. So I'd say yes. |

The frame pucks should stick well to the CF protectors. However, I am not sure I would go for the ones on eBay. One of them already appears to have been involved in a crash. |

I would do it the other way around. Put the frame pucks on and American Sport Bike sells CF covers for the frame pucks. I think they look pretty sharp. |

since the frame pucks are made for the shape of a naked frame, and the out side of the carbon fiber frame cover isn't the same shape as said frame, a good fit won't happen. there will be gaps. been there tried that. i'll not try it again |

Has anyone looked at the frame sliders made by sato racing? I had them on my 04 XB12R and they look great. You do have to remove the left side intake cover or drill a hole in it. www.satoracing.com |

They actually use two bolts to mount to the frame. They are very secure and strong. I actually had to use them. Bike was unscathed, because of the them. |

How fast were you going? I just can't see them holding up in a crash. Small diameter bolts holding them to tabs on the frame? Long length to provide tons of leverage to break them off. I could maybe see them working at low speed tip overs. |

I was going about 40-50 MPH. It happened so fast, but I know I was around the posted speed limit for the road I was on. I would probably run both nowadays. Never hurts to have extra protection. |
