My CityX has an intermittent electrical fault. The accessory fuse blows. I have a history of the problem here http://www.dcs.gla.ac.uk/~pat/Buell/faultHistory.t xt I am at my wits' end. Any (useful) advice? |

Look *very* carefully at the ECM wiring bundle where it passes over the battery terminals under your seat. It's easy to misroute, and it can get a pinhole sized breach in the insulation, which then rubs on a battery terminal. Failing finding anything there, I would look for shorts under the flyscreen. It's easy to get at and inspect. It may not be where the problem is, but you might as well start looking at the easy places. |

"WIGGLE test" Remove accesory FUSE, insert 12 volt test Lamp leads, where fuse was plugged in. switch IGN on, remove acesory loads intill light goes off, then push, pull, shove, wiggle, and molest the wire harness and associated connectors until the lamp lights up. what ever you have done to light the lamp is where your problem lies. look at that point for bare wire, worn insulation, squashed or nicked wire, etc. |
