I'm looking to maybe trade my 03 XB9R for a race prepped XB. My bike has about 17,000 km on it (10,600 miles),Latus muffler, race ecm & filter, open airbox. Anyone upgrading their race bike this year?? | ||

HEy NsBuell, Maybe check out Buddy up my way, He has that xbr don`t think hes into it, HE Bought a NEW XB12 Uls Buell , I think he was only at the track once this year Might be something to look at.. Or why not just make yours race only, can`t be that hard.. | ||

Hogs: It's not that hard, it's the cost that worries me. It's cheaper to buy a bike that someone else has already spent thousands of dollars upgrading than to do it myself. Plus I can't afford to have a street and a race bike so I'm looking to trade. Do you know how to contact the guy near you? He's got an 03 9R like mine right? I've been going over the costs of racing and I don't know if I'll be able to do it without dipping into my credit line/cards...I've spent too much time paying them off to run them back up. | ||

Nsbuell, I've been going racing for well over thirty years and the first rule I ever learned is: NEVER BORROW MONEY TO GO RACING. Lack of funds is natures way of telling you, you can't afford to race. Most every one does but virtually all come to regret it. Spending every spare dime/penny on racing is the norm tho. | ||
