I have seen the ramp style one that Rossi used in China (and possibly elsewhere) for sale on some european website(http://www.paddock-shop.com/page.asp/958.htm), but I was looking for snowblower style one. Unless they could be had for wicked cheap, I would rather make one. This would be more of a cool tech project for me then anything of necessity. Post pics of yours if you can. |

Do you need to operate it solo? Cheapest is a set of 2 rollers that are spun up by a wheel on your car/truck. Stray Cat makes some: http://www.straycc.com/roller%20page.htm Otherwise, you can put a go-kart wheel on the output shaft of a gas engine (pretty standard) Or - there's somebody else who made an electric system - just can't remember the name. |

Thanks for posting. I have been looking for a place that has them but they are hard to find and really expensive. |

I built one out of a snowblower motor and a wheel from Orschelin. I used an 8hp techumseh motor. That is about the minimum I would use. 10+hp would probably be better, but I used what I had on hand (the snowblower had been given to me free months earlier) I had to weld up a chassis, and replaced the wheel bearings with a sleeve I machined on my lathe. It is a 2 man operation to get the bike started. |

I don't have any on this computer, it's similar to this one produced by Feracci:
I just didn't see spending thousands on one when I could build one. |
