OK, here is the deal... I have had this bike listed on ebay 3 times and I haven't had any luck selling it. I am trying to sell it due to a great deal that is to be had on a 04 XB12s that I have my eye on. Please take a look and let me know if you have any questions.... 1999 Buell Lightening X1 You’re looking at 1999 Buell Lightning X1 that I purchased to be my main commute ride. I have been riding Buell’s for the last couple of years and I am absolutely in love with them. The reason for the sale, I am ready to upgrade to the new XB line and I have a ridding partner that is offering me a chance to pick up one that I can’t refuse. For more high resolution pictures go to " http://www.pbase.com/tefloncandy/buell_ " and take a look. Be sure to click on the original size to get a better look. The Good It comes with a few upgrades worth mentioning. It has an updated 2000 model rotor not pictured. Polished rear pulley cover and updated shifter. New rear brake pads and PM Wheels. It has the original seat and the corbin seat pictured, I am 5'10" with a 30" inseam and I can stand flat footed with the corbin seat on. I just installed a new O2 sensor and I have a set of intake gaskets ready to be installed. I mention this because these items were typically overlooked during tune-ups and the need to be replaced about every 10k miles. I just got this bike back from Harley Davidson of Allen, TX where I had the neck and wheel bearing replaced. The bike runs down the road like a brand new ride. The motor is powerful and of course the sound is amazing. I have taken several all day rides with this bike and it performs flawlessly. I ride with a local BRAG group called Thunderbikes of North Texas (TNT) (www.thunderbikes.org). We typically run 300-500 mile round trip rides and this bike runs with the best of them. I just installed a new Vance & Hines pipe on it with less than 500 miles ran. The Bad It will need a new front tire (which the buyer will have to purchase) and it will also need new brake pads on the front( I will include a brand new pair from HD with this auction) Summary You will get a good running bike with the riding position and power for all day rides that turns heads and constantly gets question everywhere you go. I have a clear Texas Title in hand and current registration. Please let me know if I can answer any more of your questions…. |

Chevy, Are you seriously interested in the bike or just the seat? It just turned 14,000. I did 300 miles this past sunday around North Texas. |

Right now just the seat... I live in NW OHio and the price would have to be right for me to get the bike shipped. |

If I could get someone to purchase it at it low $$ amount, I would throw in a very nice and only 2 month old Tank bag(low profile yet big enough to carry my Buell cap, water bottle and my Nikon D50. I will also through in a brand new pair of never mounted or used sport saddle bags (soft sided style with rigid inserts). I purchased them from a badwebber for the Wicked Twisty run in NM and never got to go. C'mon Buell'ies I know someone needs a good running sharp looking X1. Thanks for looking Micah |
