Hello all,
I have looked through the other threads that could be related to the problem I am having. I am getting a lot of vibration in the pegs- and at all RPM ranges. This vibration started recently.

I tightened the primary chain- it was loose. I was concerned with overtightening the chain, as I had trouble finding the "tight" spot. I would guesstimate the chain to be within the 3/4" cold spec that is frequently posted here.

This did not stop the vibration problem.

My front isolator does not appear to be cheesed.

I would love some help on what to look for first. I am going to go back in and find the tight spot on the primary chain so I can take that out of consideration.

I could replace the front isolator, even if it isn't the problem at hand.

I have pulled the clutch in while going downhill to try and isolate the problem and the vibration disappears as the engine RPM drops to 1000K. The problem is not in the brakes or the tires/wheels, in other words. I am pretty sure it is in the primary.

Does anyone have any other ideas? There is no noise neccessarily associated with the vibration.

Broken Isolator Bolt? Bad Rear isolators or isolator hardware?

check the front engine mount (the one at the top that runs up to the frame). Check for damage to the rubber inside of it.

3/4" on the tight spot... I've never really liked that measurement myself. I prefer to set it by the specs when cold. I tried the 3/4" on the tight spot and found that the bike didn't quite shift right (false neutrals going to second).

Too loose is better than too tight with the primary chain though.
