Ooppss, thought it was Daves and Barney !! We did have an awesome riding weekend, two days of Great weather and roads EXCEPT for the 4 hour ride from Green Bay back home in the rain and dark !! My fault, I insisted we stop at every lighthouse we could, I got tons of pics, will post some later. Good thing there was three of us, seeing as I rode my bike into the sand thinking it would make a cool pic with the lighthouse behind it, NOT !! Got stuck, but the three of us managed to get it out of there !! Luckily the other two girls weren't so stupid and didn't ride their bikes into the sand. CJ |

Yeah Mike! We know the issue with Paul, rain and Mr. Ed, but I much prefer sun. Are you going to run this weekend Mike? Jason, if you see this, and I know you will, are you still going? I am regardless of the weather. The trailer is all set up for living quaters as well. We're heading up Friday AM. Doing the "Test and Tune" IF it isn't pouring out. But will be up there early either way. Also getting power from the track to run a fan, heater, tire warmers and my coffee maker. Hope 150' of cord is enough. |

Better dance hard, I'm using Murphy's law, leaving my rain tires on! Which will mean I'll have to change them over sat. morn |

Rocco, probably not going tomorrow since rain looks to be pretty certain (which sucks cause I need the practice - haven't been on a track since June). Saturday will be a Friday night decision but if it looks like there's some hope of a dry day, I'm planning on being there. Either way, I'm probably not staying overnight though. I'll leave and come back on Sunday (leaving Heather alone with a screaming kid all weekend just seems mean). |

Tom, if that actually works, I'll be happy to change over your tires for you. |

I know, I know, rain just evens out the competition. As for me, yes I'd like to race, but... I went down hard on my Nevada trip, offroad. And I'm still healing, right wrist and left thumb, great combination. I'm know in the west as "tumbleweed".......so I'll wait and see for Sunday. See everyone at the track, Wegman weekend, should be fun! |

Nice results Tom! One of these years I'm hoping to put together a weekend like that. It'll be a while though. Anyway, gloom and doom on the bike front. The motor is definitely hurt. Besides the obvious metal shavings inside the cam cover, I most likely stripped the lining off of the cylinders, so I need to replace those and put in new pistons for sure. But before that, the motor needs to come out and get completely torn down (including splitting the cases) to check the lay of the land. Never know where those little shiny bits made it to. So, long story short, complete rebuild. On the upside, I'll get to start next year with a fresh mill. |

Griz... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/4062/228822.html?1159245608 Since ya gotta replace 'em anyhow I might be able to help ya bore your cases to accept an 88" or 90" kit |

Steve, that was actually my first thought on Sunday. But I have the cylinders and pistons already so I'll just go the stock displacement route. Plus, with the compression that I'm running, the motor is already pretty strong so really not worth the expense. Besides, I was probably pushing slightly more horsepower than Tom's M2 and yet still being wasted by about 6 seconds a lap so I'm quite certain horsepower isn't the issue. I'd be way ahead of the game to take that same money and put it on track time instead. |
