Has anybody that has removed the front beak fender noticed whether the cooling might be better. Did the fan come on later or the same ( or sooner?? ). |

Nope. But I noticed that as I get more wear on my front tire, my fan runs less (well...OK, except when it's hot). Could be the tread pattern affecting the airflow. Gonna go to slicks soon to evaluate. Also getting one of those cow bells the Harley guys have to ward off evil gremlins (just for extra insurance). |

I have a bell, it helps a lot! I am thinking of changing the brakes to the left side, then that side will get more airflow. Or maybe removing the front wheel completely, I don't seem to have it on the ground much anyway. |

I find that when I ride with thong underwear that I get better airflow down the mainline of the bike. I've heard Eric will be adding official Buell ride wear with the 07s. |

Thanks for the vis bstrd, but my girlie would look good in a Buell thong! |

I can just imagine a big ole ham tattoo about 2 inches further down on the right cheek. |

Seriously, I think if anything, the beak acts like a sail at higher speeds. I hope future models of bikes come without it, and I can get rid of it. Give me a real fender that keeps crap off my lights and engine. |

Javadog, Do folks look the other way so as to not see the open hole on your face. Did it hurt? |

I actually removed the left side scoop. The fan has not come on since. Buell totally misengineered this thing!!! |

I just removed the rear cylinder! I use the void space to cook ham sandwiches while I ride. |

It has melted into the engine after your noisy bearing seized! |

I think the frame is a problem. I am going to put a regular gas tank on this thing and I am pretty sure it will allow more airflow to the engine. |
