You got it.... I saw picture some where of some one melting the lexan to get the cone.. You can make a open air box by cutting out current airbox cover.. |

There are better 'open airbox kits' than this....you can actually make your own for much cheaper even with stainless steel hardware like I did. Remember that your airbox top now has room for the servo and most importantly has the downward 'nipple' above the velocity stack. Tin snips work really well for cutting your existing airbox lid in a nice smooth arc. You can find more info in the vault on this topic. |

That is a flat piece of plexiglass with two nuts, bolts and washers. Don't waste your money. Swiss cheese the box yourself and you can switch back and forth with a roll of duct tape. Convertible airbox, the wave of the future. |

I didn't say it wouldn't work. I just said don't waste the money. For me, my airbox cover isn't transparent, so the holes I cut in my inner airbox are just fine. Having a transparent outer cover changes things a bit. |
