Hey all,

i came back from a ride recently and found some grey "goo" maybe paint or something all over the chin faring and under tail, little bits on front fender oil cooler and such. my question is how do i get this stuff off of my painted parts without causing damage to the paint? i have tried goo be gone and that didnt work. it does seem to be hard and i have scratched some of it off but dont want to scratch off paint.

thanks for any help or recommendations.

Tim

I have had good luck with the "clay bar" type cleaners on my trucks paint. I have not tried it on the bike plastics though.
Most auto supply stores carry the kits for about 10 to 20 dollars.

try lighter fluid or oven cleaner. Just be sure to wash with soap and water after and apply some new wax.
