Original post here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/219502.html?1155389022 Board price for a 10k Check at drop off: $270 First bill total given to me: $543.50 Current Bill Price: $405.50 Current Board Price: $480.30 Customers they loss b/c of the way I was treated: 7 Ok the forks were never rebuilt on my bike, that was someone at the service desk telling me this. What actually happened: The mechanic needed to remove my forks to do the fork oil and could not loosen the one nut/seal at the top and had to use an impact wrench. The impact wrench damaged the piece so they had to order a new one. They ordered a new one and charged it to me. In my dealings with the manager today i felt like i was again being talked down to and given additude even after i said the $405 was fine. and i just need the issue of the forks cleared up. Now i need to find a new dealer to do the work i can not do. Any recommendations for the Berks county PA area? |

How completely typical of them to charge you for a part they damaged. Like Cochise said, Buell Customer Service asap. |

My bike was dropped off just about TWO WEEKS ago (august 1st) for a 10k service!! I keep getting the run-around about what parts they are waiting for, and now have been told that by thursday, "at the latest" it SHOULD be ready, that will be 18 days for a service! Never get a call back on what's happening with it, and why the f*ck it's taking so long for a fork seal which in my mind they should have in stock, or be able to get it from any of the 5 dealerships arond NJ.. Wow, there goes august. God knows what is happening in terms of price because was also told had to order something else now. Guess find out MOnday when call AGAIN... |

Sounds like you guys need a new dealers. Frequency, what the dealer did to you was illegal. At least in my understanding. Did they tell you they didn't change the fork oil before or after you paid for the service? Were you billed for the fork parts? Labor should be 6.5hrs for a 12 or 6.2hrs for a 9 with Buell's flat rate times. Vonsliek, if the isolator really needs replacement, it is a warranty replacement. That is why the bike has one. The dealer will get paid by BMC for the warranty work. They don't need any money from you to do this. |

If you haven't read my old "How to deal with customer service" it'd not be a bad time. In a nutshell, when you call, be prepared with the facts, numbers, times, dates, names, VIN, date of purchase, blah, blah, blah. Leave the "so and so sucks" or "I was screwed" out of the conversation....that stuff they could care less about. Give them the facts. Communicate your expectations. If you have any problems finding someone, let me know. |

No they changed the fork oil as i expected b/c its part of the 10k check. but what they did do was damage a piece while removing the forks and charged me for that piece |
