Whooped!!! 200 mountain miles(trailered up)all before noon, perfect temp, sunshine, ooohhhhh what a great ride. All but a couple spots on 129 were clean as a whistle. Even got to play with some of the GSB/SSB/BSB guys on Wolf Pen Gap. Not enough traffic to count on one hand so lots of un interrupted twisty!!!! Thanks for taggin'along G! |

Even got to play with some of the GSB/SSB/BSB guys on Wolf Pen Gap. If you wanna call "try and catch the Buells as they rip up Wolf Pen" playing. Those schooled were a Busa, Ninja, KTM super moto, Suzuki SM400 moto, and a couple more. There was a GSXR750 that had no problem catching back up after being left in the tight stuff. I think it was because he had one of the new ones with that new kind of exhaust, you know the kind that mounts under the engine. But seriously, that guy could ride, I never saw the other guys until we got to Dale's. Great day of riding! Nothin like headin out at dawn while it's still cool, and beatin the heat. Everywhere we decided to go was sweet ridin! Even Richard Russell was clean! The only time we got caught behind cars was on the way back to the truck. And by then we were (or I was) already beat, and it was starting to get really hot. There were a lot of bikes of the motorless sort runnin around. Man oh man, that just looks like too much work! I don't see how (or why) those gus do it. The bike was running extra sweet all day, not one sign of the dreaded ping. Yo, New12r, nice day! I'm ready to go back... |

The only good thing about being at Benning is that I'm 3 hours away from Panama City, FL. 200 miles of sweet riding down 431 with a dip into the Gulf of Mexico at the end. The water was beautiful but the ride was the sweetest part. Hey B_S, I took your advice and the K&N is on it's way. Thanx Stay safe guys |

Nice day up in the hills with the 'BUELL GANG' its always nice to see a 1/2 dozen or so Buells in the hills. Would have been better day if the trans' didn't go out on the way home. It broke down about 3 miles from Shelley's folks by the Buford Dam. It keep popping out of 2nd and 3rd gear. Tried to limp it home, ended up not being able to shift at all, like its stuck between gears. Broke the shifter arm bracket trying to get it in gear. Now thats its broken maybe they'll find the problem and fix it this time. I have faith Brian the Buell tech. |

When you coming back to finish your bike? Hopefully soon! I have been moving and stuff recently so I have not had an opportunity to focus on what really matters. Do you like the positions of your handle bar mod? I love it. I have both R-pegs and clip-on and the riding position is perfect. I feel connected to the bike rather than on top of it. |

I was coming down 441 last night and came up on a GSP going the opposite direction. Looked over my shoulder and he was turning around so I pulled over and had my helmet off by the time he got behind me. He have me a courtesy warning for illegal plate and brake light but did not bother to inform me why he even pulled me over. |

Since I have got the new tire put on I have noticed some fairly violent shutter when hard some times softer front braking from what usually seems from a high rpm. This does not always happen and I have yet to find a way to cause this to happen on porpus. I have tried to recreate the scenario many times at varying speeds rpms gears and breaking pressures. Because when it does happen it is violent enough to make me stop breaking, and continue on my way. As soon as I let off the problem subsides. It does not happen at the beginning Of breaking but closer to mid end. Any thoughts Thanks New12 |

MEdved, don't know if this applies to you or not, but the one time I let someone else take the wheels off for new tires, I had a similar issue with the brakes. Come to discover after a little piddling around, they put the brake pads back on in reverse order and the one that was on the outside, was now on the inside. Not a big deal really, but I guess the pads had seated really well in their original position. I reversed them and every thing was good. |

New12r helped me out, lots of good advice and know-how, thanks to Glitch bein there to help out. Anyway Charlie, the Race ECM is doin great, the TPS reset worked like a charm, Got the engine up to temp. +/- 280 then set it, went out and tested it, 4th gear bog down, where they get up to 4th gear let it come down til it about stalls and WHACK it wide open and it responded and woke up like it should instead of flooding out and dying, bike runs like a bat out of hell and sounds like a monster (like the rest of ya'll with Odie pipes) the point is I LOVE MY BUELL!!!! great bike, even better now that she can breath so much better. |

Ok looked at it can't tell a difference but maybe I'm a dumb a$$ and don't know the difference wouldn't be the first time. up or down ha ha ha now How would I know if they where reversed? it looked like some extraneous wear on brake pads maybe even some chipping on rear of r side pad if looking from back to front. Medved, Well, I put them on to begin with and marked 'em. It's like a 15 minute job, just try switching them and see if it makes a difference. It's nice to have someone else work on your bike, but then on the other hand, sometimes it sucks to have someone else work on your bike. |
