Finally finished my bike rebuild. Wrecked the first one with a 40mph lowside. Here it is:   The speedometer is there until DMV says it's roadworthly. Good tech info on this site. Thanks. | ||

For what it's worth, that is one of the highway in the United States on which I have maintained "speeds in excesss of posted limits" for an EXTENDED period of time. I'll tell ya another fun road is 371. The first time you "drop in" (damn near literally to Farmington, NM) from the South it's one of the "grininest" roads in the USA. I was laughing so hard in my helmet, I turned around, went back up the hill and did it again.  | ||

Alan, it is just a piece of 1/8" thick aluminum plate cut to the same size as the insp. sticker plus length to mount on the passenger pegs mount. I took off the left side heel guard, used the same two screws to install the plate. Here's an old picture, just after I got the bike. If you want me to make for you, you have to come visit!  | ||

 Shes a 98 S1, I made the air cleaner set up, & the muffler, I also made my own dual headlight setup. I do most of my own work on it and just installed a set of andrews cams a 42 m.m. Mikuni w/a 175 main jet. I got a new header from Al at American sport bike but I dont remember the make. I plan on building a turbo setup soon aswell as a 1250 kit but a small shot of gogo juice may come 1st. (Message edited by 98s1lightning on September 17, 2006) | ||
