Just wondering if Mcwilliams and Warr's are planning on running Mid-Ohio FX - If they are I'm heading down to watch Friday and Saturday. I saw Mike Hale listed in the entry list, but did not see McWilliams. Any other XBRR entries? Where are all these bikes and no one is running them in FX |

McWilliams will NOT be at Mid-Ohio this weekend. Steve Crevier and the Deeley's Team will be on hand with the XBRR. Nothing is confirmed yet, but I expect to see McWilliams possibly 2 more times this year. |

According to Jeremy and Martin at Laguna , they WILL be racing at Mid-Ohio this year. Only it will be at the NEXT race there , not this one...!!!!

>>>>According to Jeremy and Martin at Laguna , they WILL be racing at Mid-Ohio this year. Only it will be at the NEXT race there , not this one...!!!! That is a SEMI-accurate statement. It's looking like Jeremy and TEAM WARRS will be at Road Atlanta and the 2nd Mid-Ohio event. There are some post-Laguna adjustments that will not be done this weekend. |

From Buell.com: BUELL XBRR MODELS JOIN FORMULA XTREME ACTION AT MID-OHIO Veteran Racers Crevier and Hale to Ride for Buell Dealer Teams EAST TROY, Wis. -- (Tuesday, August 01, 2006) Fresh from a top 10 finish at Laguna Seca in July, the Buell XBRR will continue its inaugural season of AMA Formula Xtreme competition with the entry of two dealer-sponsored race teams in the eighth round of the 2006 Formula Xtreme championship August 4-6 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Mike Hale, riding for the Classic H-D/Buell–Millville H-D/Buell–Innovative Motorcycle Research team, and Steve Crevier, riding for Deeley Harley-Davidson/Buell Canada, will tackle Mid-Ohio’s challenging 2.4-mile circuit, which underwent extensive off-season modifications. The track surface was freshly repaved over the winter, and more recently its newly installed curbing was reshaped in the interests of rider safety based on feedback from several AMA pro racers. Both Crevier and Hale have prior experience on the XBRR. Crevier raced in the season-opening Daytona 200 and again at Road America, while Hale most recently competed at Laguna Seca. “Mike and Steve are looking forward to racing at Mid-Ohio, which is an extremely technical track,” said Chairman and Chief Technical Officer Erik Buell. “This season is very much a learning one, as none of the Buell teams have had the opportunity to test at these tracks prior to the events. It’s awesome to see them accept this challenge and do so well.” Both teams racing XBRR models are supported by Pirelli Tires, Sentry Insurance, Harley-Davidson Financial Services, Screamin' Eagle SYN3 Synthetic Motorcycle Lubricant, and Harley-Davidson Visa. The Buell XBRR is a limited-edition production racing motorcycle based on the Firebolt XB12R, which is reworked at the factory into the XBRR for use in closed-course competition. It offers private racers a professional-level, race-ready, production-based platform. Buell Motorcycle Company, a subsidiary of Harley-Davidson, Inc., produces sport motorcycles, motorcycle parts, accessories and apparel. "The Buell XBRR is a limited-edition production racing motorcycle based on the Firebolt XB12R, which is reworked at the factory into the XBRR for use in closed-course competition. It offers private racers a professional-level, race-ready, production-based platform." This revised (and correct) description should have been in the initial press release as it would have deflated a lot of the controversy early this year. But controversy sells tickets, so maybe it wasn't such a bad thing after all. jimidan |

Go ahead naysayers. The infant is doing pretty dang well. Congrats to both teams. It looks like the bike is now finishing races AND giving teams a tool to help them do well.

Dang, Steve Crevier rode the wheels off of that thing...way to go Steve! Coming from 18th it must have been pretty watching him slice and dice through traffic on that course. Wonder what happened to Mike Hale? He was running very similar times to Steve in practice and qualifying, but I guess he couldn't hang during the race. Jimidan |

M1combat sez: "You're a real Paparazzi fan aren't you Jim " Not really, but I do think selling tickets is a good thing. The AMA knew what they were doing when they wrote the FX rules to include Buells. Selling tickets is the first step to selling bikes on Monday. jimidan |
