OK, so I have not seen anything else here about it so far (maybe Im blind), but it is here!!

Al at American Sport Bike has put the finishing touches on the Magura kit, and has them available for immediate purchase.

I took delivery of what I believe is the first kit from him, and installation is a snap and pretty straight forward.

It is VERY fluid (pun intended), SMOOTH, linear and feels great in general, and is the ultimate option for guys how have clipons, crossroads, or any other bar setup that has the cable bent at a severe angle. Or just a great upgrade to not have to worry about a snaping cable in the middle of nowhere, and a great fluid feeling.

I will post some pictures tomorrow of some things I noticed on a completely stock XB12S with some notes on routing the line and how to get your grips off without destroying them, if they are not stock anyway.

Great stuff.
I’m gona try the same, only I really want a radial master cylinder matching with a brake side master,
There’s a few if and when’s to figure out,
like there ain’t a clutch master smaller than 13 mm that I can find ( radial )
I believe the magura has a 10mm clutch master, so the lever pull becomes a little bit more,
And getting some data on the magura mineral fluid and if the normal seals will hold
Or to use dot 5 fluid

But I realy like your setup, great stuff

I spoke to Magura at length about the stuff you are discussing here. You are correct, they only have a 13mm radial pump, and the master we are using is currently a 9.5mm bore with a 10.5mm slave bore. The stroke on the master is approximately 12.9mm, giving a 10.55mm linear travel at the slave. If we used a 13mm master bore, that would yield a 19.8mm slave stroke, which is far too high. The Magura Radial pumps are nice looking, especially their high end billet one.

yep,

the only one other then magura is a beringer cr09 but aswell with a reservoir ( and dot 4 )

i'm not that worried about the stroke,
just don't pull it to the bar, or adjust the lever that the bar is the limiter ? or make a travel limiter for the lever
or are i now talking stupid..?

i am more worried about the way to heavy clutch pull,
the piston surface doubles more or less with a change from 9,5 to 13mm

...any luck w/ Col Time's setup on Ebay? Looks pretty similar to this Magura setup- he recommends a wrench install the setup, but I can't find anything particularly complex about the whole thing ...

I got in touch with Peter at Magura and he sent me up with a hydraulic clutch proto type for the XB based on the new Sportster configuration they have. I have the Crossroad bars (S-series) so I was worried about the size. He sent a 195 Master which worked fine. The hardest bar was bleeding the thing. Still working on adjusting the clutch.
