I'm sure they do, but WHEN is purely speculation. Erik and his elves dont talk much about what they are planning for the future. |

Yeah, I suppose they don't want to spoil the sales of current models... I can't hold that against them. |

Actually it's not "pure speculation" it is a finely detailed executory plan that is keep very close to the vest for a myriad of commercial reasons that range from creating expectations that prove wrong as designs evovle, to protecting potential market making activites. The best story about "loose lips" was the great (someone correct me, I may have this wrong) Yamah-Suzuki "war" when one of them intorduced like a new bike amonth for a year. I think very few American riders have the slightest concept of how big and powerful some of the Japanese firms are. Buell does a smart thing and very well. |

Suzuki also brought the tl1000 to market just weeks before Honda brought out the vtr 1000 (superhawk) That had to be a corporate intelligence coup. It's still happening and those companies spend huge amounts of money to spy on each other. Wanna bet there is a big war over the new 800cc motogp motorcycle designs going on right now? |

I'd just about bet that Japanese satellite that was launched a few months ago has taken a few pics of Wisconsin . OK... I wouldn't actually BET on it but they are pretty serious... |

Why do you think there are no pics allowed inside the building at East Troy? Industrial espionage is bigger (and more profitable) than politically motivated espionage. Buell is smart to play it close to the vest. No matter how anxious we (as Buelligans) are. |

If anyone were to know and speak of it and it ended up posted on the internet, someone, somewhere would lose their job. Fun to talk about though. If the next generation of Buell motorcycles is as much a leap ahead in performance over the previous generation as the XBs were wrt the tube framers, well... that should be friggin' exciting eh? Maybe in 2009? |

I heard on the internet that Erik Buell has been consulting with John Britten via a well known psychic. The 2007 models will come in Blue and Pink with optional header wrap from the factory. |

I'm sure you are right Court. But I was referring to those of us in the Buelling public. We can do nothing but speculate about new models. Speculatin' is alot o' fun though! |

This is very selfish of me but I hope they don't make many nice improvements for at least 3 more years I just got my bike and I'll be pissed as hell if something awesome comes out that I can't afford at the moment. |

>>>>He'd better be careful or he won't be working for Harley long. That's an accurate statement. If you work for HD or Buell and say something like that to a neighbor you are an IDIOT. They have zero humor about this issue. |

Reminds me of a story some friends told me when they returned from Deal's Gap some years back. Bunch of guys claimed they worked for the HD Factory, and that Harley was going to pull the plug on Buell due to poor sales. This was shortly AFTER I had purchased my 2000 M2 Cyclone so I wasn't very happy to hear that. I was delighted to learn later it was pure BS. Not from my friends, but from the idiots who gave them that information. Probably wishful thinking from a bunch of dealership sales guys who have no clue how to market Buells. We've all seen plenty of examples of that, haven't we? |
