Will it fit in a standard 6 foot truck bed with the tailgate UP ?

Weather permitting, the test ride is Thursday : )

Almost, but not quite.
The whole bike fits in the back of my Ranger.
But the trailing edge of the back tire won't let me close the tail gate.
I have gotten both mine and Black_sunhine's bikes in the back of the Ranger as well.
Mine pointing forward, and B_S's pointing to the rear.

I have on an f-150 shortbed as well. Front suspension was compressed which may contribute the extra 2-3 inches.

fits in my nissan frontier with the tailgate up. I put it in at a slight angle and it leaning on the kickstand.

I read somewhere it more stable in th truck bed with the kickstand down cause there are 3 stabilzation points.

My Ford F-150 shortbox is 7 feet long. Not six foot like mini trucks are.

My XB12SS fits in a SB Chevy Silverado with tailgate up and has 2" clearance.

and Chevy and Ford fullsize short boxes are 6.5' not 7'

Got my Lightning Long in my uncle's small older Nissan P/U with the gate up no problem. Slightly diagonal and the front pulled down tight with straps. It should fit in just about any pick up longer than an English Ford... (or those new ones w/ four doors on short chassis they make for people who won't be seen in a minivan).

The standard Ford beds, in F-150 and F-250 are 6.5' and 8'.

I've been hauling Buells in an F-250 (Just replaced at 162,000 with an F-150) SuperCab for 10 years.

They fit fine. The tailgate, on the S-2's and S-1, just touch the rear wheel. Any XB will be fine.

For BMW's and KLR's I have to leave the tailgate open.

I believe the Blast is slightly longer than an XB and it will fit in my Ranger stepside with the Tailgate up. the front wheel is slightly turned and the bike is angled.

Tundra double cab:

1) let air out of the rear tire
OR
2) Tie down the front, lift the rear and angle the bike left or right, leaving the front forks tied down parallel with the truck bed.

I usually do number 2.

Coastie,

I also have a Ram 1500 quad cab, and my XB9R fits in the bed, straight, with the tailgate latched.

The Blast won't, though. >.<

Edit: 2002 Ram, 2003 XB9R.
