At about 8000 miles, I broke the original drive belt. I felt it "pop" while the clutch was pulled for a 1/2 shift. Have a 2006 belt coming and hope to replace it this weekend. I have the factory manual and for belt replacement it first refers you to the section on isolator R&R, where you remove just about every engine mounting bolt. Do you really need to do that for belt replacement, or can you get by removing ONLY the right isolator bolt? Also, do I need to use a new isolator bolt, or with only 8000 miles, can the old one be reused? Thanks! Andrew |

AP -- I'd suggest that you R&R the ISOs and bolts, as long as you've got it all torn down . . . . you've gotta remove em both in any event go the the American Thunderbike site -- they've got a great proceudre that's a great deal easier that stripping the entire bike down . . . . . |
