Original post has fallen into the archives, so I'll just post this up anew. This, it turns out upon inspection by a trusted mechanic and weekend racer, is not a bad tire...
![](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/208558.jpg) What it is, is just a cut/scratch in the tire. Endemic to [lightweight] sportbikes, we'll get and see these cuts when a tire has skipped & spun over pavement on either acceleration or hard braking. Self induced. Just an indication of my hard riding that day... Live & Learn. Add to our collective knowledge. |

That is a bad tire. Nothing to do with the cut. If it says "Dunlop" on the side, then you should replace it ![; )](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/clipart/winker.gif) |
